What happened
- VARIndia reported that the Cyber Crime Wing’s data centre (commissioned 30 Sep 2024 under the State Grid Project; vendor chosen via a December 2023 Webel e-tender) suffered total service disruption on 28 Jul 2025 after VPN and CAT C5 (VoIP filtering tool) outages across districts. The private vendor said ransomware had encrypted all data and storage and showed a ransom note.
