What happened
- Limfjord Update reported on 5 Oct that the industrial company, which has about 400 employees at its Thisted head office, was hit by a cyberattack “last weekend” that cut employees off from a number of central systems. CEO Lars Dithmer (to TV MIDTVEST) said sales and deliveries continued but “Det vil vaere for meget at sige, at det ikke har haemmet os” (it would be too much to say it has not hindered us).
- Root cause: not disclosed.
- No attacker named.
- The IT department shut systems down; a week after the attack most systems were back, some processes still manual; the CEO said there are no signs unauthorized persons accessed sensitive information.
