- Root cause: not disclosed; Apple attributes such campaigns to state-sponsored or highly resourced actors.
- Attacker: not named.
- Response: update to iOS 26.6 or later, enable Lockdown Mode; recipients can email submitmobile@cert-in.org.in for examination and are told not to reset, update or restart first, to preserve evidence.
